One of the few enemies which can see the player through walls, Grenadiers can be a challenge for new players to handle in large numbers.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

This enemy is simple to dodge up close, and is easy to stun, making it one of the easier enemies to avoid. Its one attack is to throw a bomb at the player, which can simply be walked past when it's on the ground, and doesn't explode on contact. The bombs fall to the ground and detonate after a few seconds with a moderate radius of effect. Its only other ability is to hop backward from the player.

Elite Grenadiers have only one change added to them, in that their bombs explode as soon as they hit the ground.

In previous versions of Dead Cells, the Grenadier was simply a recolored Zombie. Now it appears to have a taller body with baubles or pustules of explosive fluids attached to its body, which glow in darker areas, making them easy to spot.
