Kamikazes are bat-like, flying enemies that chase the player and explode when near.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Much like Bats, this enemy "sleeps" perched on the underside of ceilings and awakens when you are in range. It follows the player through walls, but it is easily killed with single strikes from any weapon or blasts from a bomb.

The radius of its explosion is large and deals heavy damage. Its explosion cannot be rolled through, but can be parried/blocked with shields. Standing still will cause it to shriek and flash yellow before exploding. A Kamikaze self-destructing counts as a kill for both curses and flawless doors.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

  • A good habit you will want to get into is to do downward smash attacks through platforms they are sleeping under, as this will kill them before they are alerted.
  • A good strategy for dealing with them is to bait them out and then run to a safer location, and then kill them before they can explode. Faster weapons will generally be better for this as there is less of a chance of them exploding before they are killed.
  • If you are having trouble killing them, possibly because whatever weapon you are using has a slow attack speed, then a better option might be to simply kill them with whatever skill you have with you, such as a grenade or other damaging item with a large area of effect.
  • Kamikazes can be distracted by Biters, even though the latter can't target them.
