Throwing Knife functions as a bow-type weapon which inflicts bleeding on enemies.

  • Ammo: 8
  • Special Effects:
    • Knives inflict bleeding (20 base bleeding DPS per effect for 2 seconds) on enemies they damage.
    • The player character auto-aims at the closest enemy within range when using Throwing Knife.
  • Breach Bonus: -1
    • Base Breach Damage: 0
    • Base Breach DPS: 0
  • Tags: No Critical, Has Bullets, Ranged, Bleed, Limited Ammo

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Though knives can only be thrown once every 0.35 seconds, the player regains control 0.1 seconds after the start of each throw, resulting in a net 0.25-second wait between the end of one throw and the start of the next.
  • The fire rate of this weapon allows for up to 6 bleeding stacks to be maintained at a time on an enemy, resulting in an optimal instantaneous DPS of 134 (14 from direct hits and 120 from six bleeding stacks).
    • An alternate method, used to calculate sustained DPS, adds the total damage done by a bleed stack to hit damage, then recalculates DPS. Using this method, an optimal sustained DPS of 129 is predicted.
